This is Mrs. Dellinger's first year at Dalhart High School where she teaches English 2. For the previous 26 years, she taught English for 4 years and Special Ed for 22 years at Clayton High School in Clayton, NM. Prior to that, she taught for 2 years in San Jon, NM.
Mrs. Dellinger says to Enjoy life. It is too short to be unhappy.
Ms. Roland has been teaching for 5 years, and this is her first year at Dalhart High School. She teaches English 1. She previously had taught in Stratford for 4 years.
Ms. Roland's advice to students is to not let complacency undermine their future plans.

Mrs. Ramos has been an English teacher for 29 total years. In her first year, she taught 6-12 English in Agate, Colorado. She then moved to Texas and taught 6 - 8 English and Reading at West Texas Middle School in Stinnett. Mrs. Ramos has been at teacher at Dalhart High School for the last 3 years where she has taught English 1 and English 2. She currently teachers English 3.
Her favorite quote is ... "Students don't care how much you know until they know how much you care."
Mrs. Bornemeier has been at Dalhart ISD for 16 of her 23 years in education. She taught 1st grade in Hereford, 2nd grade in Amarillo, 2nd grade at Dalhart Elementary and was also the Dyslexia Interventionist. She was the Library Coordinator at Dalhart High School for 2 years before moving to our English Department. She taught English 3 for two years and is now our English 4 teacher. She is also the Dual Credit Facilitator for Frank Phillips College. Mrs. Bornemeier is the English Department Chair.

Mrs. Bornemeier says that she has watched her students become invested in a book and its characters. She has seen her students grow as readers and that makes her happy.
